Ted Stevens: Thanks for proving us right

Yesterday, the longest serving senator in the US Senate had a really bad day, and thats saying a lot for someone who I am surprised can find his way out of bed in the morning.

Ted Stevens (R, AK) was indicted yesterday on charges that he was indicted on 7 counts of not disclosing thousands of dollars worth of services from companies working on his home. Ted, I’m glad you are going out like this. First of all, you ridiculous backing of the “Bridge to Nowhere” and your absolutely riveting description of how the internet works during a talk about net neutrality shows that you aren’t all that bright.

I understand that someone who did not grow up in the age of the Internet will probably not understand the intricacies about it, but please, get a smarter staffer to break it down Barney style for you! Anyone having such an influential voice about anything Internet related should be much savvier about how it actually works.

I’m just glad to see someone get what was coming to him.
