Looking Back on the Social Media Love-In

Earlier in the week, Problogger had we he called a “Social Media Love-In“. A lot of Problogger’s readers are all cut from the same cloth, so we all exchanged addresses for our social media websites. I knew I would find some new friends and some new blogs, but a few days later, it’s obvious it is more than that.

Twitter: What do you think?

I love Twitter, don’t get me wrong. It can be a fantastic tool for quickly blasting something out really quickly to a lot of people. There are plenty of people using it, and you can update it from any phone that can text message.

Twitter definitely seems that the worst of the problem is over. The ups and downs of being available, IM is still not working, and more. So what do you think?

Twitter is crack for Pat

So I finally took the jump and signed myself up for Twitter. For the uninitiated, Twitter is sort of like a micro-blog that can also be used from your cell phone. Twitter itself describes it as such:
“Twitter is a service for friends, family, and co–workers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: What are you doing?”
In this completely interconnected world, it is just one more way for us to reach each other. Oddly enough, you would think the 140 character limit would be pretty dumb for each “post” (or as Twitter calls them: “Tweets”), but in a way it actually forces you to be succinct.
